Fees
At the counter we accept: cash- U.S. dollars, or the equivalent in euro, and credit card payments -Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express and Diner’s Club. Make sure that your card accepts payments made in the United States. When paying in cash, please try to bring exact change.
We do not accept U.S. checks. Bancontact is not available at the Embassy.
Mail-in Service
The payment is made via the U.S. government’s secure payment site via U.S. or international credit or debit card, electronic funds transfer from a U.S.-based bank account, Amazon Pay, or Pay Pal.
Exchange Rate
The Embassy’s rate of exchange is determined by the Department of State for all euro countries. As of February 1st, 2023, the exchange rate is: $1 = €0.95.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are 15 minutes delayed, you will be denied access to the Embassy. Please reschedule your appointment online if you cannot attend it.

If you are unable to provide fingerprints because of a medical condition, including birth defects, physical deformities, skin conditions, you may qualify for a fingerprint waiver for certain fingers.
