ESTA Only Costs $14!

Are you taking a vacation to the United States this summer?

In that case, all you have to do is file a ESTA application. The ESTA only costs $14 and is available on the official website of the U.S government. Do not be fooled by misleading websites.

You’re considering a trip to the U.S this summer —perhaps to visit the Statue of Liberty (which will be reopen for the public starting July 4th), to visit one of the many national parks, or to enjoy the beautiful weather in California.

Since Belgium is part of a visa exemption program, Belgian tourists only need an electronic travel authorization to travel to the U.S. (ESTA stands for Electronic System of Travel Authorization).

The U.S. Embassy regularly receives emails from Belgian tourists that have been misled by websites appearing to be an official U.S. government website. These fraudulent websites charge higher fees and misled users into thinking that they will help obtain an ESTA.

The easiest, fastest, and less expensive way to get your ESTA is through the official website of the U.S. government: You can apply for the ESTA in more than twenty languages, including Dutch and French.

The ESTA costs $14 and is to be paid by credit card. In most cases, you will receive your ESTA approval instantly.

A little reminder: the extension ‘.gov’ means that the website is an offical site of the U.S. government and not on a commercial website. These unofficial websites often appear at the top of the lists when you type in the keyword ‘ESTA’ on the internet.
