The Embassy has a requirement for a firm to renovate and upgrade the existing reception halls, dining room, library hall and bedrooms in a U.S. Embassy residence in the Brussels area in Belgium.  This construction effort is estimated between $ 100,000 and $ 250,000 (€ 88,000 – € 221,000) and needs to be completed in 12 to 15 weeks.  The job would comprise redesign and replacement of the main door, redesign and installation of the stairs, molding, trim, wainscot paneling, wall painting, wooden floor refinishing, removal of existing cabinets, etc…This work is for the interior upgrade and renovation of selected rooms in a Government owned residence.

All firms that respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work.  At a minimum, each offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their proposal:

  • Be able to understand written and spoken English;
  • Have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing;
  • Have the necessary personnel, equipment and financial resources available to perform the work;
  • Have all licenses and permits required by local law;
  • Meet all local insurance requirements;
  • Have no adverse criminal record;
  • Have no political or business affiliation which could be considered contrary to the interests of the United States;
  • Have good experience and past performance records; and,
  • Identify specialized experience and technical competence required to complete the construction work in accordance with this solicitation.

The Embassy has a requirement for a firm to renovate and install two (2) additional restrooms in a U.S. Embassy residence in the Brussels area in Belgium.  This construction effort is estimated between $ 25,000 and $ 100,000 (€ 22,000 – € 88,000) and needs to be completed in 6 to 8 weeks.  This work is for the installation of additional restrooms and wall modification in a Government owned residence.

All firms that respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work.  At a minimum, each offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their proposal:

  • Have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing;
  • Have the necessary personnel, equipment and financial resources available to perform the work;

Job knowledge: Ability to quickly become knowledgeable about the Tri-Mission’s organizational structure, functions, and agencies. Must know Belgian labor law, payroll and the Belgian labor market. Must have experience with HR software programs and be able to quickly become familiar with all HR systems and applications used within the office. Must have a basic knowledge of project management. Good working knowledge of office management and internal procedures.
