Learn, exchange, grow, and serve. The U.S. Department of State offers many programs for non-U.S. citizens wishing to come to the U.S. for cultural, educational, or professional exchange. These programs are augmented by local opportunities in countries around that world that allow non-U.S. citizens to explore U.S. culture and the English language.

Brings emerging leaders and professionals to the United States on 13 different cultural exchange programs focused on education, research and skills development. The program allows participants to hone their skills, immerse themselves in American society and culture, connect with Americans, and share their culture with their American host communities.

The Fulbright Commission provides grants for graduate study, pre-and post-doctoral research, foreign language teaching, and university lecturing in the United States. American citizens seeking Fulbright grants for study or research in Belgium or Luxembourg can also obtain information from the Fulbright Commission in Belgium.
The Office of Public Diplomacy manages the U.S. Embassy in Brussels grants program, which is designed to assist non-profit, cultural, and educational organizations in implementing programs that advance U.S.-Belgian ties.
This program is designed to strengthen relations between the United States and Belgium by bringing Americans – U.S. citizens from all backgrounds of life resident or visiting Belgium – together with a wide variety of Belgians to speak with them about the United States.
