For life or death emergencies, dial 112 for immediate medical assistance.

In the case of an emergency involving a U.S. citizen in Belgium, please call the U.S. Embassy at (+32)(0)2-811-4000.  Someone will respond to your call 24 hours a day.

Routine services such as passport renewals, reports of birth abroad, and notarials are not considered emergencies and are processed during regular business hours.

  • Contact the American Citizens Services Unit through the ACS navigator  (Google Forms).
  • Walk-In Hours (for Pick-Up ONLY)
    • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM
    • Wednesday and Friday: 10 AM to 12 PM
    • (Closed on U.S. and Belgian holidays)

Security Policy

Please do not bring laptops or large bags as they are not allowed within the Embassy. We also strongly advise that you do not bring large bags, such as backpacks, suitcases or packages to the appointment as there are no storage facilities on Embassy grounds.
