U.S. Passports/Citizenship services:

We are unable to answer routine passport and citizenship inquiries by phone.  In case of an emergency, send an email to uscitizenbrussels@state.gov. Please include your name, evidence of U.S. citizenship, and an explanation of the emergency situation.

Special Consular Services:

For emergencies involving Financial Assistance; Arrests/Incarcerations; Medical Emergencies; Death of U.S. Citizens Abroad, please call the main number (+32) (0)2 811-4000, select the appropriate option, and explain your situation.

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM
Wednesday and Friday: 10 AM to 12 PM
(Closed on U.S. and Belgian holidays)

Security Policy

Please do not bring laptops or large bags as they are not allowed within the Embassy. We also strongly advise that you do not bring large bags, such as backpacks, suitcases or packages to the appointment as there are no storage facilities on Embassy grounds.
