Become a Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellow and Spend 4 weeks in the U.S. this Summer
As it did in previous years, the U.S. Embassy in Brussels invites Belgian students who will be 16, 17, or 18 years old on June 27, 2016 to write an essay in English – between 500 and 750 words – on the following topic this year:
“List your top three priorities of things that you would like to change in society. Explain why and how you think change can be brought about”
The Belgian winner will take part in a prestigious exchange program in the United States in the summer of 2016 which focuses on the global issues that both European and American youth face thanks to interactive activities, practical experiences, and other hands-on opportunities. The Benjamin Franklin Summer Institute is an all-expense paid program, including meals, transportation, health insurance, books, tickets to cultural events, and more.
The essays in English must be sent by February 12, 2016 to the following e-mail address: BFTF@state.gov with the subject line:
